"I have worked with Lin in her roles as VP Academic and then President of the EUS since January 2008 when I took up the role of ApSc Senator from Philip Edgcumbe as he left for India on exchange. She has truly been one of the most effective academic advocates I have know, always able to say what is needed when it's needed to project student needs to the heart of all initiatives she sees. This is exactly what an effective Senator needs to be able to do, and I know she will be outstanding on Senate.
In the context of this specific election, Lin also brings to the table a combination of two things that neither of the other candidates can offer - experience and understanding of the University working as well as how Senate proper operates, in addition to a constant focus on the student-at-large instead of furthering a personal agenda of goals. I highly recommend Lin replace me in the role of Applied Science Student Senator."
